ShareProphets Tips of the Year Series: Key Figures and Catalysts to Watch

ShareProphets‘ tips of the year series has been publishing regular updates for subscribers, with the ShareProphets tips of the year list spanning both a 2025 and a 2026 running series, each adding numbered picks as the year progresses.

The series is paywalled, so the full portfolio detail, including which stocks are held and their individual returns, is available only to members. What the public-facing research trail does confirm are some of the concrete figures behind individual picks.

What the ShareProphets Tips of the Year Have Disclosed

In the 2025 series, tip No. 18 from Steve Moore was a buy recommendation, with the shares priced at 316p at the time of publication.

The 2026 series has continued to add picks. Tip No. 14, a value and income buy from Tom Winnifrith, cited a share price range of 659p to 734p, alongside an interim dividend of 27.35p per share, which was up 2.6% on the prior payment. For dividend-focused ISA investors, a 27.35p interim from a stock in that price range represents a mid-single-digit yield on the interim payment alone, depending on where shares are acquired.

A more recent update article reviewed full-year results from two holdings in the series. The figures disclosed in that review included revenue down 3.9% on FY 2024, investments at fair value rising from $69.5 million to $99.8 million, and a gold price reference of $4,400 per ounce. One holding was noted at 122p, equating to a market capitalisation of approximately £275 million. The gold price reference places at least one pick in the commodities or precious-metals space, though the specific company names remain behind the paywall.

How the Series Sits Against Broader Tip Trackers

Tip performance trackers give some public context. Stockomendation, an aggregator that compiles analyst and tipster track records, has tracked ShareProphets contributors. On that aggregator’s data, a sell recommendation on Pulsar Group from Steve Moore showed a tip performance of 11%. These figures come from an aggregator rather than ShareProphets directly, so they should be treated as indicative rather than definitive.

Tip-of-the-year series work by committing to a named list at the start of each year and then tracking each pick against its entry price. Because the entry price is fixed and public at the time of publication, the performance calculation is straightforward: later price against original tip price, plus any dividends received. What makes the ShareProphets format different from a casual watchlist is that the numbered structure creates a verifiable record, which is why aggregators like Stockomendation can track it independently.

The May update referenced further catalysts ahead for the portfolio. The full-year results review suggests at least two holdings have now reported, with mixed revenue trends but rising asset valuations. Whether the gold-linked holding benefits from current prices above $4,400 an ounce is the kind of binary that could move the series performance meaningfully in the second half of the year.
