Andrada Mining Bid Price Rumours Surface as ATM Shares Jump 68%

The Andrada Mining bid price question is circulating in the market after shares in the AIM-listed tin miner (ticker: ATM) surged from 3.75p to 6.3p over roughly six weeks, prompting speculation that a formal approach may have been made at around 6p per share.

No bid has been confirmed. Andrada Mining has made no regulatory announcement of any offer or approach. But a sharp, sustained move of that size in a small-cap mining stock inevitably draws attention, and the 6p level sits close to the 52-week high of 6.60p, according to AJ Bell market data.

What the Share Price Move Tells Us

A rise from 3.75p to 6.3p is a gain of 68% in roughly six weeks. For context, the 52-week low stands at 2.60p, so the stock has more than doubled off its floor over the past year.

AJ Bell shows a market capitalisation of approximately £134 million, while the London Stock Exchange records an instrument market cap of approximately £138.5 million, the modest difference likely reflecting different measurement dates. Either figure puts ATM in small-cap territory where a well-funded acquirer could mount a bid without enormous capital.

With Investors Chronicle data showing approximately 2.20 billion shares outstanding and a free float of around 1.16 billion shares, a 6p offer would value the whole company at roughly £132 million on a fully diluted basis using that share count. That is not far from where the market already sits, which is consistent with a bid at or around 6p being plausible on the numbers, though it remains unconfirmed speculation.

Andrada Mining Bid Price Speculation: The Business Behind ATM

Any acquirer would be buying exposure to a Namibia-focused critical-minerals business. According to the company’s own AIM Disclosures page, Andrada Mining is incorporated in Guernsey, listed on AIM, and also trades on the US OTCQB Market under the ticker ATMTF. Being subject to the UK City Code on Takeovers and Mergers means any formal approach would require full public disclosure once a bid was confirmed, and strict timetable rules would then apply.

The flagship asset is the Uis tin mine in Namibia. The company also holds Lithium Ridge (Nai-Nais) and Brandberg West. Off-take agreements are in place with Thailand Smelting and Refining Co. Limited (Thaisarco) for tin and with AfriMet Resources AG for tantalum, providing some revenue visibility for a potential buyer.

On 10 February 2026, Andrada Mining announced a partnership with the European Investment Bank for a feasibility study at the Uis mine, according to an announcement listed on its regulatory news feed at Investegate. Feasibility work of that kind is typically a prerequisite for project financing and would be a relevant data point for any party conducting due diligence.

The company also raised approximately £6 million through a strategic equity subscription and placing, as reported by Investing.com. Fresh equity coming in at a discount to a rumoured bid price would be a normal part of a company’s funding cycle, but it does add to the picture of a business that has been active in the market recently.

What Holders Should Watch For

Under the City Code, once a potential offeror is identified, there are strict rules governing what can and cannot be said publicly. If a formal approach has been made but rejected or is still under consideration, the board is not necessarily required to announce it immediately unless a leak occurs or the share price moves in a way that demands clarification.

ATM’s trailing twelve-month earnings per share is -0.0058 GBP, per Investors Chronicle data, meaning the company is loss-making. A bid, if it materialises, would be driven by asset value and strategic interest in critical minerals rather than earnings.

Existing holders will want to watch for any formal “put up or shut up” deadline being imposed by the Takeover Panel, which would force any interested party to either make a firm offer or walk away within a set timeframe. If the 6p level holds as support on any pullback, that could itself be telling about where informed buyers are willing to step in.
