The Binance multi-asset super app strategy took concrete shape this week as the exchange launched US equities trading for eligible users outside the United States and disclosed the full structure of its upcoming tokenised stock product, bStocks.
Co-founder and co-CEO Yi He framed the ambition plainly. ‘We have set out to reach the next 3 billion users,’ she said. ‘To do that, we need to make it simpler for users to access opportunities across asset classes, diversify their portfolios, and move more easily between traditional investing and on-chain finance. That is what a multi-asset financial super app should help people do.’
How the Brokerage Layer Works
Eligible users can now trade more than 7,000 US-listed stocks and ETFs through Nest Trading Limited, Binance’s Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM)-regulated brokerage partner. Execution and custody are handled by Alpaca. The service offers zero-commission trading, fractional shares from $5, fully paid securities lending, and funding through USDC, USDT, USD1 and BNB, with sale proceeds settled in USDC.
Nest Trading is a proprietary Binance entity whose registered website links directly to binance.com. Binance’s own disclosure shows it has set up three Nest-series entities in ADGM: Nest Exchange Limited (which operates the multi-party trading system), Nest Clearing and Custody Limited (custodian and central securities depository), and Nest Trading Limited (investment trading matching, asset management, and currency services).
Under ADGM regulatory requirements, Nest Trading is not permitted to hold or control client funds and assets; custody sits with the separate regulated entity, Nest Clearing and Custody Limited. That separation matters for retail users assessing counterparty risk.
Inside the Binance Multi-Asset Super App Structure
Running alongside the brokerage product is bStocks, Binance’s tokenised equity offering. According to Binance Academy, bStocks are structured as BEP-20 tokens (a standard token format on BNB Smart Chain) and also integrate with BEP-677, a token standard designed to support real-world assets natively on BNB Smart Chain. That architecture makes them compatible with self-custody wallets and decentralised finance (DeFi) protocols, including staking and lending.
Users can convert between a supported underlying equity purchased through Nest Trading and the corresponding bStock at a 1:1 ratio with zero conversion fees, according to Global Fintech Series. Unlike the brokerage shares, bStocks trade directly on Binance Exchange around the clock.
bStocks are issued by BTECH Holdings, a special purpose vehicle (a ringfenced legal entity created for a single purpose) registered in ADGM, subject to regulatory approval. Law firm Al Tamimi and Company advised on the FSRA prospectus and the admission of bStocks certificates to the Official List of the Financial Services Regulatory Authority, as well as admission to trading on the exchange and multilateral trading facility operated by Nest Exchange Limited, according to Lara on the Block.
The offering carries a hard geographic boundary. Markets Insider reports that bStocks have not been and will not be registered under the US Securities Act of 1933 or any US state securities laws, and a public offering will not be conducted in the United States or any jurisdiction outside ADGM. UK investors considering access should take note of that regulatory perimeter.
A SpaceX bStock, carrying the ticker SPCXB/USDT, is also planned, but its launch is contingent on SpaceX completing a public listing on Nasdaq.
Binance’s broader platform ambitions extend further still. The exchange is also offering Pre-IPO perpetuals (derivative contracts that track private-company valuations before a stock market debut) alongside the public equity products, according to Liquidity Finder.
On the legal front, Binance is simultaneously facing a £150 million UK lawsuit brought by 1,692 retail derivatives traders, and continues to pursue its Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) licence in the European Union despite reported hurdles. The super app push represents an effort to widen the user base well beyond the existing crypto audience, but the regulatory picture across multiple jurisdictions remains unresolved. The fee-free withdrawal promotion on bStocks runs until 07:59 on 1 October 2026 (GMT+8), giving early adopters a window before standard fees apply.
The pace at which ADGM and other regulators extend bStocks approvals beyond their current scope will be the single most important variable for how quickly this platform can live up to its stated ambition.
