FP Markets secured the Most Trusted Broker award at the UF AWARDS GLOBAL 2026, an event that TradingView describes as ‘the industry’s most credible awards,’ held on 17 June 2026 at the City of Dreams Mediterranean resort in Limassol, Cyprus.
The ceremony ran alongside iFX EXPO International 2026, drawing brokers, technology firms and fintech professionals from across the industry. FP Markets takes the award having already accumulated more than 80 industry distinctions over its trading history.
What the FP Markets Most Trusted Broker Win Actually Means
For retail traders evaluating where to keep their money and execute orders, regulatory oversight is the most concrete proxy for trustworthiness. FP Markets operates under five regulators across four continents, which is worth understanding in detail.
In Australia, the broker holds an ASIC licence number 286354, with its registered office at Level 5, 10 Bridge Street. The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) is widely regarded as one of the more rigorous retail-broker regulators globally.
The European entity is registered in Cyprus under company number HE 372179 and holds a CySEC licence number 371/18. CySEC authorisation means the entity falls under the EU’s MiFID II framework (a set of rules governing investor protection, best execution and transparency across European financial markets), which matters for traders accessing FP Markets via an EU-regulated entity.
The broker also holds a Financial Services Authority (FSA) licence in Seychelles, number SD130, where it trades under the name First Prudential Markets. In South Africa, FP Markets carries FSP Number 50926 under the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA), with a Cyprus entity registration number of HE 480296 for that regulated entity. A fifth licence covers Kenya through the Capital Markets Authority (CMA).
The breadth of that regulatory footprint reflects the broker’s global client base and its stated strategy of matching local regulatory requirements wherever it operates.
The Ceremony and What Else Was Recognised
FP Markets was not the only firm collecting hardware at the Limassol ceremony. Match-Trade Technologies, an end-to-end trading infrastructure provider serving FX and CFD brokers as well as proprietary trading firms, won the ‘Best Prediction Markets Platform’ award at the same event, according to Disruption Banking. The breadth of categories covered at the UF AWARDS reflects how the event has expanded beyond pure brokerage into trading technology and infrastructure.
John Lewis, Chief Marketing Officer at FP Markets, commented on the award: ‘Being named “Most Trusted Broker” at the UF AWARDS Global is a significant milestone for FP Markets. Trust is at the core of everything we do, from the technology and trading conditions we provide to the support and education we offer our clients. This recognition reflects the dedication of our global team and motivates us to continue delivering an exceptional trading experience for traders worldwide.’
Background: Two Decades in the Market
FP Markets was established in Sydney, Australia in 2005, giving it more than 20 years of operational history. It is now headquartered in Limassol, Cyprus, and offers access to 10,000+ CFD instruments (contracts for difference, which let traders speculate on price movements without owning the underlying asset) spanning seven asset classes.
Those instruments are accessible across MetaTrader 4/5, TradingView and cTrader, three platforms that between them cover a wide range of trader preferences, from manual chart-based trading to algorithmic strategies.
The multi-asset, multi-platform model positions FP Markets alongside a handful of large retail brokers that have chosen breadth over specialisation. Whether that model continues to attract the regulatory trust the award implies will depend on how consistently the broker applies its stated standards of transparency and client support as it adds new markets and products.
The next UF AWARDS event, and whether FP Markets can retain the Most Trusted Broker designation, will be a straightforward test of whether this recognition marks a consistent standard or a single-year peak.
