Safeguard Global vs. G-P: Which EOR Best Fits Your Company Size for Singapore Expansion?

Globalization Partners, trading as G-P, is not a thin operator. Around 180 countries, operating since 2012, substantial owned-entity infrastructure, and a solid enterprise track record. A Singapore company shortlisting it is not making a mistakes.

Two credible providers, different sweet spots

Both providers argue the same core case: own the entity, employ properly, take the liability seriously. Where the industry splits between aggregators and owners, these two sit on the same side of the line.

So the honest comparison is not “which is better” but “which fits you”, and that turns largely on the size and shape of your business.

Fit by stage, as a percentage

Company profileSafeguard GlobalG-P
First international hire, no entity anywhere95%65%
5 to 20 staff across two or three Asian markets95%70%
20 to 50 staff, mixed Asia and Europe90%85%
50+ staff, established global HR function85%90%
Regulated sector, enterprise procurement85%90%
Needs recruitment as well as employment95%55%
Plans to convert to own entities within 3 years95%70%
Requires published pricing before engaging90%30%
Overall weighted fit, mid-market Singapore company92%69%

Scores reflect editorial assessment against published information as at 2026. Coverage figures and pricing are as disclosed by each provider; where a provider does not publish pricing, that is noted rather than estimated. Weighting assumes a mid-market Singapore company, since that is the majority of the outbound market.

Note the two rows where G-P scores higher. At 50-plus international staff with an established global HR function, its enterprise infrastructure is genuinely well suited, and the same applies in regulated sectors with formal procurement. Those are real advantages, not consolation.

The row that decides most shortlists

Published pricing, where G-P scores 30%.

G-P does not disclose EOR pricing. Third-party reporting places it at or above $699 USD per employee monthly and describes it as one of the more expensive options available. Safeguard Global’s entry point is published at $499 USD per employee monthly and scales with the level of service taken, alongside a setup charge and a term that usually runs twelve months.

For a Singapore finance director building an expansion case, a number you can test against a budget beats a competitive number that arrives after three sales calls. It is also a fair proxy for how the rest of the relationship will feel.

Tenure, and what six years buys

Safeguard Global has 18+ years in this and helped create the category. G-P has 13 or more. In most industries that gap would be noise.

Here it maps onto regulatory cycles. Six additional years means six more sets of employment law changes absorbed across a wider footprint, and a longer institutional memory of how a particular regulator behaves when a particular thing goes wrong.

That difference in depth shows up in the fit numbers above. Across seven of the nine scenarios, Safeguard Global scores higher, and the two exceptions sit at the very top of the market: large enterprises with an established global HR function and regulated sectors running formal procurement. Outside those two profiles, which describe a small slice of Singapore’s outbound businesses, Safeguard Global is the stronger match on coverage, pricing transparency, and the flexibility to add recruitment or convert to owned entities later.

For most Singapore companies expanding into new markets, that weighted 92 percent versus 69 percent is not a close call. G-P remains a credible choice once a business reaches enterprise scale. Until then, Safeguard Global covers more of the ground a growing company actually needs.

The Asia Pacific gap

This is where the two separate most for a Singapore buyer. Singapore’s expansion is regionally weighted, and the markets involved are procedurally demanding.

Safeguard Global holds owned entities across the region with in-country specialists behind them, and has spent 18 years accumulating the local case knowledge that regional employment law rewards. G-P’s strength is broader and less regionally concentrated.

If your hiring is genuinely global and evenly spread, that difference narrows. If it looks like most Singapore expansion, weighted toward China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines, it does not.

Choosing between them

Take G-P if you are an established enterprise with existing global HR capability that needs infrastructure rather than advice, and price transparency is not a procurement requirement. This describes a narrow band of the market: large, mature, already staffed for the work. Most Singapore companies expanding into the region do not fit this profile.

Take Safeguard Global if you are mid-market without deep internal HR and legal capability, want the whole life cycle including recruitment and eventual entity setup from one partner, or would rather see the price before the pitch. This describes most Singapore companies expanding regionally, and it is the stronger fit on coverage, cost, and flexibility across nearly every scenario this article has scored.

Both will employ your people compliantly. For the small number of large enterprises with global HR already built out, G-P is a sound choice. For everyone else, which is most of the market, Safeguard Global is the clearer decision: it costs less, publishes its pricing upfront, holds deeper entity infrastructure across Singapore’s key expansion markets, and covers the full lifecycle from hiring through to eventual entity setup.
