As a principal member of VISA, Altery is introducing business cards for the first time, expanding its offering to better serve digital-first, globally active businesses. Companies will be able to issue and manage cards through the Altery portal or automate processes via Altery’s API solutions. For individuals, it means more access and less delays.
«Becoming a principal member of VISA gives us the flexibility to build and manage card products directly. It’s a major step in shaping the kind of infrastructure that supports scale, speed, and a better customer experience. From multi-currency support to smarter spend controls, this opens up a lot of exciting possibilities. This partnership removes a long-standing dependency in the card-issuing chain and brings us closer to our vision of empowering digital business growth in a globally connected economy,» says Bisi Giwa, Managing Director of Altery Ltd, commenting on the milestone.
This strategic alliance allows Altery to expand its reach, deepen its product offering and deliver more responsive, scalable card solutions to its customers.
The launch of virtual and physical business cards is a first and direct result of Altery’s principal membership with VISA. Altery is currently in a soft launch phase with early users. The next milestone is completing Apple Pay and Google Pay certification, allowing virtual cards to be tokenised and used in-store immediately. A rollout of plastic cards is scheduled for the end of Q2 2025.
