Paysend has announced an expansion of its long-term collaboration with Visa through a new initiative that will make Paysend’s Enterprise API — a technology interface enabling businesses to embed Paysend’s payment functions into their own platforms — accessible to Visa merchants and partners throughout North America. The move builds upon the companies’ existing partnership, which focuses on improving the efficiency of international money movement.
Since 2023, Paysend and Visa have worked together to allow users to transfer funds instantly to Visa debit cards in over 100 countries and territories, helping to cut transaction delays and boost transparency. By combining Paysend’s technological infrastructure with Visa’s extensive global network, this latest phase aims to accelerate adoption across Visa’s merchant and partner ecosystem, empowering more organisations to deliver secure, real-time payment services to their customers.
“Our ongoing collaboration with Paysend demonstrates the value of combining Visa’s global reach with innovative payment technology,” said Justin Zhao, Head of Global Partnerships and Sales at Visa Direct. “With this next phase, we are addressing common challenges in cross-border payments and helping to set new expectations for speed, transparency, and convenience in the industry.”
In September, the collaboration featured prominently in the latest season of the ‘Paysend Series’ — the brand’s original interview series exploring industry insights and forward-looking ideas. Filmed at Visa’s headquarters in San Francisco, the first episode featured Justin Zhao of Visa Direct, marking the start of a new season focused on leadership perspectives and the future of international money movement and digital finance.
The new season of the Paysend Series is available to watch on the company’s YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EEg0Mz7YCNQ.
Rick Castello, Head of North America Sales at Paysend, says, “Visa has been a key strategic partner for us over the years, and this next step is a game-changer. By making our Enterprise API available through Visa’s network, we’re bringing instant, secure payments to even more people and businesses. Having the new ‘Paysend Series’ in partnership with Visa serving as the opening move in our co-branding campaign, we’re showing the world how this collaboration is reshaping the future of cross-border money movement.”
Paysend works in partnership with Central Payments, the programme manager for Paysend U.S., to deliver backend payment processing and ensure full regulatory compliance.
